RISARC 360o Service offers a complete solution to healthcare providers that optimizes existing resources, provides innovative world class technology solutions and includes expert consulting services

RISARC 360o Service will dramatically reduce costs and save clients millions of dollars.

NEW ORLEANS, February 26, 2007 — RISARC, a national software solution and healthcare consulting company providing cutting edge solutions to healthcare and other emerging industries, announced  that it will launch its RISARC 360o Service at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMMS) Conference and Exhibition in New Orleans (Booth 2169).  This all-inclusive healthcare service, consulting and software solution offers hospitals a complete single source to meet their business objectives.

Said Richard Stephenson, President and CEO of RISARC:  “RISARC 360o Service optimizes existing resources, provides innovative world-class technology solutions, and includes expert consulting services.  It will dramatically reduce costs and save clients literally millions of dollars.  It is a complete solution.”

Admission Error Tracking System (AETS)

Hospital’s revenue cycle starts at the front end with patient registration.  RISARC offers the Admission Error Tracking System which is a complete custom application that automates the quality control process by providing real-time error tracking of registration information and is also a powerful training and performance evaluation tool.  AETS can also electronically verify and post insurance eligibility information. AETS is the first registration error tracking system to be offered and remains the preferred choice resulting in AETS clients who become ‘best practice’ facilities or number one in their health system.

RISARC Electronic Medical Record (RISARC EMR)

An important part of the revenue cycle is clinical care and medical information management.  RISARC offers the RISARC Electronic Medical Record system. According to Meghan Clyne’s article published in The New York Sun,Advocates say electronic medical records could save $140 billion a year in health care expenses on things like file clerks and space for file cabinets, while also saving tens of thousands of lives each year by reducing medical errors.”

RISARC EMR’s features include:

  • Registration Screen – for patient registration and to access previous registration information;

  • Scheduling Screen – to schedule appointments or a calendar for physicians to block off unavailable dates;
  • Encounter Screen – where physicians can input notes in SOAP format, admit patients, place order or for nurses to enter their notes;

  • Order Screen – for secure communication between the originator of the order to the recipient or department (such as pharmacy, lab etc) who needs to complete the order.  Also includes prescription, formulary look up and automated checks for drug and allergy interactions;
  • History Screen – to access patient history, problem history and order history;

  • Patient Dashboard and Bed Control Screen – for real time status of every bed including drill-down access to patient pertinent information including name, doctor, isolation and special instructions.  This screen can also be made available for housekeeping;
  • DICOM Viewer – to view medical images, such as CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasound;
  • Referral Screen – for patient referrals using RMSe-bubble;

  • Insurance Screen – for all insurance information including insurance verification and authorizations;
  • Report Screen – standard and custom reports are available;

  • Discharge Screen – with summary of all orders, services and a statement of charges for the current visit.

RMS Business Office System

To ensure the financial health of hospitals, RISARC offers the RMS Business Office system which includes the following modules:

  • Business Office and Denial Management Module – electronic eligibility verification and billing, automated workflow and follow up work-buckets, automated posting of payment and denial information, management and exception reports;

  • CFO Module – for executive level information and reports.  The RMS Business Office System is the back-end solution that automates the billing and follow-up workflow, maximizes staff efficiency, ensures consistency in processes, minimizes denials and ensures the hospital accounts receivable is liquidated to cash.

RMSe-bubble

Earlier this year, the company participated in astatewide launch to provide a revolutionary electronic attachment service using the RMSe-bubble.  The RMSe-bubble enables the instantaneous secure exchange of  all health data including images using a system that meets the high privacy and electronic data control standards of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).

RMSe-bubble reduces the risk of HIPAA violation and significantly reduces overhead costs from conventional photocopying, mailroom processing, postage and filing. RMSe-bubble is a part of the infrastructure to achieve the RHIO objective.  Insurance carriers and a state fiscal intermediary is using RMSe-bubble to offer secure electronic attachment services to it’s providers. RMSe-bubble is also an integrator and can interface and leverage existing systems.

Said RISARC CEO Richard Stephenson: “Getting this technology right fulfills the revolutionary promise of HIPAA, made by Congress more than a decade ago, to finally bring the healthcare industry up to the data access and transfer standards we have all enjoyed in virtually every other area of the economy.  The secure and rapid transfer of medical treatment and accounting records data will be as revolutionary in the healthcare industry as the transformation of the mail system twenty years ago by Federal Express or the introduction of the ATM machine in the banking and retail industries.”

RISARC Consulting Services

RISARC completes the RISARC 360o Service with its consulting program that includes services such as: onsite/offsite uninsured eligibility; inpatient/outpatient billing and appeals; denial liquidation; physician education; Accounts Receivable (AR) analysis to help business offices improve its internal revenue cycle operations – maximizing cash flow and financial performance.
